Greater Mt. Olive Baptist Church

I am married to Apostle Connie B. Austin with two great children Natomi and Nathaniel both of which are adults now. Natomi is married to a great young man ,named Joshua Blair and we have 3 handsome grandsons from them.  Nathaniel is married to sweet and beautiful, former Asha Lee Moore and we have 2 beautiful granddaughters and another handsome grandson from them.  We are thankful that they all are serving the Lord . I have been married to my only wife  and best friend since 1977. I grew up up in the state of Alabama and served in the army for 10 years.  After the military, I stayed in El Paso because I loved my church and the people. I served in the church as an Usher, Deacon, Minister and Assistant Pastor. I have been in the Ministry since 1989; 11 years  of those years I served as the Assistant Pastor . Not knowing that I would be called to Pastor by some awesome and loving people of God I took the job and told God I will do the best for Him and His people. My favorite scripture is Psalms 51:10  "Create in me a clean heart, O God and renew a right sprit within me." My favorite pastime is fishing . I have been in the Pastorship since 2005 and thing shave been very great, because I know God is on our side and He has a lots for us to do. Upon taking over as Pastor of this church God gave me a vision for his church that we will be " Standing on the Promises of God. " God has blessed us with a lot in a short time and for that we thank Him.
